| I have previously told this group about the status of the Collection Classes
DTR. In particular, I have indicated that Micro Focus (and I) oppose further
processing of this document.
The Draft DTR can be viewed at:
http://www.cobolstandard.info/j4/files/07-0048.pdf
There is currently an international ballot being processed. I can't tell each
of you when your national standard's body will be submitting their ballot, but
in the US, the J4-tag (US domiciled members of J4) are currently conducting a
letter ballot on what the US position should be. The responses is scheduled to
be "resolved" at the upcoming J4 meeting in Garden Grove (on April 19-20 - for
this discussion).
I have already submitted the Micro Focus ballot and it can be viewed at:
http://home.comcast.net/~wmklein/DOX/07_0053.pdf
Although this is being handled as a J4 Letter Ballot, I believe (but can't
guarantee) that if anyone within the US wishes to contribute to the discussion
of this DTR, that they may send their comments to:
INCITS - at dspittle@itic.org and incits@itic.org
with a CC to
J4 - via the Chair at dSchricker2(at)cox.net
Reference the ongoing ballot on:
"JTC 1 N 8548 (J4/07-0048), ISO/IEC DTR 24717:2007(E), Information
Technology - Programming languages, their
environments and system software interfaces - Collection Classes"
If you wish to contribute to another national standards body, then you can check
comp.lang.cobol archives for information that I have previous provided or send
me a private email and I can help you directly find where to send your comments.
