Texas is for warriors.

Without loving there would be no warriors to protect anyone, without
warriors to protect them there would be no lovers to carry on the species.

It is a wide world, with room for many... 'Anyone who imagines that all
fruits ripen the same time as strawberries knows nothing about grapes', as
Paracelsus said.

You confuse "love" with "sex."

I use a definition of an English word from a commonly-accepted source,
http://m-w.com/dictionary/lovers (4b). Perhaps a person from (place of
your choice, e.g., Texas) might find this confusing.

He would be neither the first nor last person to do that, if he did, indeed
do that... :-)

Pete.

That's a genetic thing, common to all humans having a "Y" chromosome.

Source: I think I heard that from a girlfriend. But I wasn't really paying
close attention to her at the time.

Umm. I think your Y-deficient partner is mistaken. Women tend to equate love
and sex, men tend to separate the two.

For example:

Wrong: "But honey, it was just sex!"
Better: "But honey, I thought I loved her."

I told you I wasn't paying close attention. Now that I am SURE is a
"Y-chromosome" thing....

That is wicked, Jerry... :-)

I have an almost irresistible urge to get out and try this one... I'd LOVE
to see the reaction...:-)

Beware: "Better" doesn't mean your life won't be at risk.

You may be interested in the recent parable I discovered: The Lion and the
Sheep.

The Sheep wears a Lion costume and thinks he's a lion. The Lion wears a
sheep costume and knows she's a lion.

I just wish I had realized this truism many years ago. Excuse me while I
roar:

"BAAAA, BAAAA!"

What I like is the people who confuse "oral" with "verbal" - which
explains why there is so much verbal sex going on.

Well, it's interesting to note that while Virginia was running that ad
campaign, "Virginia is for Lovers", the Commonwealth still had a statute
on the books making it a crime to have sex with someone whom you're not
married to (§ 18.2-344).

Now how this ties into Texas: After the Supreme Court ruled in Lawrence
v. Texas that what gay people do in the privacy of their bedrooms is not
the state's business, a woman in Virginia by the name of Muguet Martin
sued her (presumably now ex-)boyfriend for knowingly giving her herpes.
The court said since fornication is a crime she can't sue him (you
can't sue someone else with whom you conspire to commit a crime). The
Virginia Supreme Court decided in Martin v. Ziherl that the state's law
against fornication was unconstitutional because of the decision in
Lawrence v. Texas (and the dissent in Bowers v. Hardwick, a decision of
the Supreme Court which Lawrence overturned.)

Let's not forget another word for "conversation" is "intercourse."

Mr Robinson, those who expect rational consistency in advertising have, at
times, been disappointed... and those who expect rational consistency from
government have, likewise, been disappointed...

.... so to expect a rational consistency between advertising *and*
government might lead to previously-demonstrated conclusions rather
rapidly.
