When posting to comp.lang.cobol please include a rate, or range of rates,
associated with the position(s) offered; doing otherwise leads many to
conclude that you are either trolling for resumes or running a blind ad to
determine rates.

They don't post the rate because it's constant in Bangalor. It's
$4.50 per hour and all the rat meat (with currey) you can eat :)

I do my best to be 'democratic' in such matters, Mr Wiegand... post an ad,
post a rate, post no rate, get boilerplate.

....Course, WE had it hard.

WE used to DREAM of curried rat's meat.

Ate our single cockroach once a day without curry, or salt, ....or
cockroach...

Wrote 15 million lines of COBOL a day, cleaned and polished Corner Office,
attended 6 status meetings every morning and another dozen in the afternoon,
worked 26 hours a day, for 2c a w and waived our holidays to help
department achieve budget targets, and carried water twice a day from swamp
5 miles away, on our backs, to fill water er.

You try telling that to the youngsters of today... and they won't believe
you.

(With aologies to Four Yorkshiremen...)

Pete.
