I don't know if it the "complexity" of the world that we live in, but it does
interest me how much religious "fundamentalism" has grwon in receint years.

Whether it is "Christian Funamentalism" (especially the "red states") in the
US - or Isamic Funamentalism in many places - or even the power of Jewish
orthodoxy in Israel, either there has been agrowth in numbers OR in visibility
of this during my lifetime.

In each of these cases, if you (they) start with the assumption that they ARE
"right" - then it is hard to fault "them". On the other hand, it does cause
some difficulty for those of us without such assumptions.
