Author IBM announces new release of z/OS COBOL compiler

Today, IBM announced a new version (not just release) of its z/OS compiler. See
http://www-01.ibm.com/common/ssi/re...97/ENUS207-339/

P.S.
Frank, still no word on when VSE will be updated ???

P.P.S.
Other than some XML enhancements, this is MOSTLY "mainframe performance and
ease of use" changes. Little (or no?) new syntax.

Were you expecting more of Cobol 2002 to be implemented? :-)
