Hi everybody,
I posted a few questions here when I was in Uni learning COBOL.

I've since graduated and was thinking of playing a little bit with
COBOL again, but the Micro Focus IDE that I used at uni has expired
and I seem to be unable to buy a new copy of it.

Are there any free or relatively cheap IDEs for COBOL out there?

I'm thinking (hoping) along the lines of the .net express IDE from
Microsoft.

Why don't you just get the free MF Net Express Personal Edition v5?

I think he wants the VisualStudio interface - rather than the MF interface. The
former cost $49 (for VisualStudio).

I had wondered why the obvious answer was not being expressed. Thanks
Bill.

Fujitsu used to offer a free student edition. Have a look at
