And they did productions of Turandot on the front steps of the Forbidden
City in Beijing, which is where Puccini had intended it be produced, in '95
and '97. Would have liked to have seen one of those!

Agree; problem is, the plots are pretty much all the same. That's half the
fun, I'd say -- who's got the patter song, what's the exchanged-at-birth
part of the plot, etc., etc. Fun light entertainment to watch, and a real
kick to perform.
