I did not mean a failure on the part of the troops but on the part of
the generals. You are right about not letting your mates down, though.

If it came to choosing between Parliament and the Queen, I suspect the
armed forces would side with the Queen. I'm not sure that they would be
so supportive of Charles (the third?).
