When posting to comp.lang.cobol please include a rate, or range of rates,
associated with the position(s) offered; doing otherwise leads many to
conclude that you are either trolling for resumes or running a blind ad to
determine rates.

Doc, just a suggestion, could you amend your standard response to
include some requirement for which continent the position is on (some
locales in the US have analogues in the UK).

I've thought of doing so, Mr Maclean, but the intricacies of Modern
Business have lead me to despair. For example... an organisation in
Chennai, IN is subcontracted by a firm in Armonk, New York, USA to supply
coders to work on-site in Manilla, PH. While one's gluteals might be
resting on a chair in what used to be Subic Bay the pay-rates are set
elsewhere... and (as one might have noticed) folks seem to have sufficient
difficulty when it comes to posting simple numbers.

Thanks Doc. I can sympathize withyou as I have had far too many run-ins
with agencies who don't know their job (or have a total lack of common
courtesy) too.
