Hi,

I have MF Visual Object Cobol for win95 (issue 1).

It will not install on XP - says the following:

c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. the system file is not suitable for
running ms-dos and microsoft windows application. choose close to teminate
the application.

Is there a work-around for this problem?

Thanks

Ron

If one of the M/F 'lurkers' doesn't respond here, go to microfocus.com -
join the M/F Forum and post your question under 'MF VOC', or 'Other
Products' if there isn't a separate board for yours.

I've seen this message on various XP systems after the "fixes"
from Microsoft are installed.

There is a text file that is corrupted in the Windows system in
the folder system32 named autoexec.nt.

Attached is an example for a machine that happened to be on
my desk at the time. Reboot in a safe mode and copy the
attached to the system32 folder.

Good luck.
bob.
