I am trying to read unicode data from an Oracle 9i database without the
data being translated from unicode. I have used similar code against an
SQLServer database without problem. Any iseas?

Which COBOL Compiler and Version, and OS used.

Also please post your code, just the enough to see variable
declaration and a single SELECT that ilustrates the problem.
And some sample data also.
