| Hi -
I saw a tool at SHARE which indexed cobol code, cics maps, DB2 and
everything else, then hyperlinked all the elements together to show
impact analysis. Does anybody know about this new product??? Seems
like it was 'Smart xxxx'.
Thanks.

| I know that REVOLVE from Micro Focus does this. See:

From the "smart something" name, you might be thinking of an ASG (formerly
Viasoft) product. I know that they had "SmarTest" and I *think* their "Insight"
(???) product did what you are asking about.

I think you are referring to SMART TS .
We used it in the past at SPRINT for all our mainframe stuff. cobol

Here is some more info about it
It truly is a GOOGLE for mainframe.
Hope this helps
Good luck.

SMART TS is a web based, lightning fast, "google" like search
engine for mainframe and AS400 environments. This leading edge
Application Portfolio Management tool is designed to help deal with
application life cycle
management issues.
SMART TS supports highly complex Boolean and proximity searches on
disparate data types. The color coded results are hyperlinked, cross
referenced and offer complete drill down capability.
