I try to use RM-COBOL for Windows. If I want to execute my program (via
runcobol) it opens non-standard console window. How to make it to use
standard console?

Thanks

You can't (at least not directly).

Why do you need it to do so?

We want to create debugger for RM-COBOL, so we try to interract with
RUNCOBOL via console (it is possible for Linux but impossible for
Windows).

Probably there is another way to interract with RUNCOBOL?

Sergey,

I assume your other message about 'windowing' was related to a small DOS
Text Window occupying only about a third of the screen ?

I think the problem is related to the OS. Using, (a) the very old V 2 of
RM/COBOL and (b) the Microsoft Programmers' Workbench, which came with
MS/COBOL - I automatically got full DOS text screens on a Win 98
machine. I didn't change any settings.

I haven't put the RM/COBOL on my new XP machine yet, but I have
transferred the MS PWB - and that shows only a small DOS Text Window.
However, with the latter, by accessing 'Properties' from the Icon, top
left of the DOS window, I can set to 'Full Screen'. However, next time
around, I'm back to the small DOS Window.

As Frederico suggests, contact Liant for tips. Another suggestion is to
google on MSDN or their Knowledge Base looking for 'DOS Windows".

Alt-Enter should switch between windowed and full-screen for DOS boxes.

Sergey,

Could you explain this a bit more? RM/COBOL for Windows comes with an
included IDE that has a debugger.

Windows versions of the RM runtime are NOT DOS windows. They are fully
graphical windows, hence his problem. Unix version are obviously
different.
