I'm trying desperately to get this away from the thread title "Java"
:-). Of course we could stick with Java if Oliver is prepared to use
some of his abstract classes to create an instance of a 'God'. Hell ! He
could even have a crack at Multiple Inheritance, and different
attributes/properties - then we could all be happy.
I agree the two can dove-tail but not if you try and apply scientific
logic. If you like, religion is not dissimilar to art (painting) - which
may leave a lot of people just 'cold'; similarly music. I personally can
get a lot of joy from art or music - it just doesn't make sense to try
and define them in scientific terms.
Well we know in the case of art that there is an element of geometry -
if you can see two sides of a rectangular object then both sides can't
be shown to be horizontal. With music, the element of sound,
reverberation etc., all explained scientifically, but not an explanation
of the emotion one can feel for music.
