Fujitsu COBOL - New Release

I know that there were a lot of rumors about the Fujitsu NetCOBOL *for Windows"
product being "stabilized" - which I certainly NEVER heard from Fujitsu itself.
However, for those of you with older version of the "for Windows" (as opposed to
the "For .NET" products), I thought I would make certain that you know that
V8.0 of the
NetCOBOL for Windows
product is now available. Furthermore, for those of us who are "current" on our
maintenance payments, this is a free upgrade ($15 in the US if you want a disk
rather than a download).
If you check out their website, I think it is still safe to say that the "for
..NET" product is *more* strategic, but it is NOT correct to say that they are
closing down the non-.NET product line.
P.S. I am just ordering my disk today, so I cannot say what - if anything - is
"new and exciting" about the new release, just that it is available.

nothing major as far as I can see.
I still wasan't able to download it to see if a particular problem
with Power COBOL is still there. If it is I will yell at them.
