> You offered an opinion about the competence of management,

I have seen you do that many, many times, as well as about all
mainframe programmers, system admins, and even doctors.

The difference is that the Doc referred to _their_ managers, the small
specific sample that directly related to where a programmer was given
the task of reading a file without the management providing the means
to know how to do that.

You, on the other hand, apply your opinions to 'all' or to the whole
group, such as here when you broadened doc's 'their management' to the
generalised 'management'. And you never seem to notice the difference.

And, yes, he _did_ provide an implied remedy:

"""knowing such details, and others associated with them, might
just possibly be beneficial in accomplishing a stated executive goal
when
said managers assign tasks."""

Note the use of 'said managers', ie those specific ones that did not
supply such aids, as is evidenced by the programmers having to ask
here.
