I don't think that one can EMail a zOS VSAM file raw dump, if one could
the packed fields would be the least of the problems.

With most systems attempting to use raw files is nonsense. I know that
you used to do this with C-ISAM files which are _almost_ useful.
Data interchange must be done with well defined file structures.

Ordinarily, I might dig through the archives for substantiation. At

I wouldn't send raw files. That's what I did when I was on the
receiving end.
