I dare say that much less that 90% of all machines using COBOL are Intel
platforms.

COBOL, at least from my experience is more mainframe/midrange machines,
not PC's.

I will give you the old MVS & VSE machines were 32 bit, I am not sure
what they are now.

But some RS/6000's are 64 bit and AS/400's went from 48 bit to 64 bit
back in the mid 90's.
