You are more likely to get helpful responses if you specify which
versions of SQL and COBOl and what operating system and hardware you
are using or thinking of using.

The link to the COBOL FAQ regularly posted on this group contains a
list of compiler providers and their websites, many/most/all of them
provide documentation on their websites.

Without being exhaustive SQL suppliers are

IBM
ORACLE
MICROSOFT
INFORMIX
Microfocus (probably)
MYSQL

Again they all have websites and some if not all have the
documentation available there.
