| Clipper 5.2 E - Blinker 4
New machine 2400 Mh on Windows XP.
HP Laser Printer
Printing is almost instantaneous but there are pagebreaks at unforeseen
places. Could it be that the processor is too fast and what can I do about
it?
Thanks for any help.

Define 'unforseen places'
Middle of page eject
Print 3 lines and eject
Print 60 lines ejects and prints the last 6 lines on the next piece of paper
Print 63 lines ejects and prints the last 3 lines on the next piece of paper
Print 68 lines ejects and prints the last 2 lines on the next piece of paper
What size paper is the printer set up for??
How many lines to the page is the printer set up for??
Is the Print Spooler active??
If not what happens if you enable it??

| Check that the paper size is correct. HP usually sets letter as default for
our American cousins rather than A4. Wouldn't it be nice if they bothered to
look at the region settings.

Sounds to me like it could be that the printer port is too fast. New
computers have an enhanced printer port (ECP) as the default; Change this in
the CMOS configuration to a Standard Printer Port (SPP). The SPP is much
slower and should cure your problem.
