I want to update some source code that I wrote in 1992. I have Clipper
installation diskettes from 1992. I've copied them to my hard drive.
Can I run the setup to load the Clipper compiler, etc.? Can doing this
harm my PC or its configuration?

Thanks

Hi,
I have Clipper 5.01 and 5.3b both installed on my W2K machines without any
problems. There has never been such a stable and good DOS than the DOS-box
in W2K and XP. Since then the amount of support I had to give my customers
working with the old Clipper versions of my programs was going almoust to
zero.

Hi,

I set some environment variables like LIB= as system variables directly in
windows environment. So I can use clipper development without caring about
setting it in a batch file or as which user I am logged in.

If your CLIENTS have XP you should think of using BLINKER and read the faq
from dave about idle-times and printing on XP.

Greetings
Tom
