| Hi
I have Time Matters for windows version 5 using clarion dll files (server
2k3 and all wks winxp pro)I have been having problems with time matters,
some time it closes itself without giving me any error just application
hang up. But some times it gives me this error:
Faulting application tmmail5.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module
c55runx.dll, version 0.5.508.8880, fault address 0x00018b81 (event id
1000). C55 dll files are in the same folder as TMW5 and was installed by
TM. Can anybody give me any recomendations or advices?
Thanks in advance
Pito

| Are your problems only occurring on Windows XP clients. We are trying to
track a similar set of problems.
Another question would be are you seeing any Hungapp errors in the event
log of the client machines?

| Hello all...
In my opinion you dont get stability in XP without Clarion 6. We have
a lot of different Clarion made sofwares/libraries and just a few
worked
reliable in XP. Compiling them with Clarion6 (with some modifications
to get it work with clarion6) made them work.

| The problem is that the Clarion runtime software, c55rnx.dll, that TimeMatters uses is an old version that does not support Hyperthreading or dual- or quad-core processors. I turned off Hyperthreading and TimeMatters stopped crashing. (I am running TM ver. 8).

I am also a TimeMatters user, version 8. It appears that disabling Hyperthreading or dual- or quad-core processing helps to quell *some*, but not "all" cases of Clarion 5.5 library instability within the Windows XP operating environment.
Assuming that re-coding with newer versions of the Clarion DLL's is out of the question (because we are not the developers of the software with the dependency on the old Clarion files), do any of the august members of this forum have any guesses as to what *other*, *specific*, *solvable* instances of the Clarion / Windows XP conflict may be?
Anecdotally, the *other* gremlin seems to afflict processors in the approximate vintage of a Pentium 4 2.66 GHz processor without any hyperthreading and an early deployment of HT tech on the P4 3.0 GHz processor.
Any ideas? Many TIA. | |
