I must be having a senior moment today.

Isn't there a built-in function or PROP to return a list of
currently
opened tables? An array?

Nope no such Prop. Never has been.

If you use ABC it manages the open closes for you closing the table on
the last instance of the open. Leaving it open but decrementing the
count when you are deep into a thread where it may have been opened
several times.
