Are you sure you can't get buy with a CSV file? That is a lot easier
than going direct to XLS. You would need a COM based package that can
help you go direct to XLS. There are a few Clarion 3rd party tools
that do it just fine though it may be done easier depending on the
real requirements.

Given the new Excel 2007 format is totally different you may want to
be looking for a bigger picture. XML may prove OK but CSV actually
will be around a while.
