Hi All,

I have done many many hours of research and tinkering here with this
problem, but it wont go away.

We have an app that has been developed in Clarion, and uses Topspeed
databases. The initial problem is that when one user is using the
application, speed is normal. But when a second user opens up the app,
the speed deteriorates. A form that takes 1 second to load, suddenly
becomes 10.

We have heard about the opportunistic locking problems. However when
we disable opportunistic locking, the application is slow all the
time. Even with just one user in it. Enabling Oplocks, see's the
application quick for the first user again.

Has anyone else had this problem, and found a solution?

Regards,
Adrian

I had exactly the same problem and after an expensive upgrade to all the
hubs and switches, it turned out to be a faulty network can in 1 pc causing
all 10 other users to slow down, the faulty network card seemed to work fine
on its own.

Martin
