C7 - It is only illusion

| What do you think?
We have been watching a lot of demos, videos and articles about
upcoming Clarion V7 for many months. But in fact ..... where is C7? It
is new famous product or illusion only?
In fact I paid core subscription before 7 month and nothing to get to
this time. Lost money!!!

Petr,
Your guess is as good as anyone's - it is still in alpha testing Stage 2
(and possibly Stage 3, hard to tell, no news from SoftVelocity to the
CSPers).
These Stages were announced approx March 14 2007 -
Stage 1 - The first stage comprises the new IDE, which includes the source
editor, formatters, compiler, class browser, solution files (the C7 version
of projects, but with far more capability)
Stage 2 - new Dictionary Editor to be part of Phase 2,
Stage 3 - and Phase 3 will introduce the new Data Diagrammer.
Stage 4 - The Application Generator is a consumer of all of the other IDE
components, and will be introduced in Phase 4.
Encourager Software provides a Clarion 7 blog section at this URL:
http://profileexchanges.com/blog/?cat=3
Our coverage is mostly highlighting what SoftVelocity has released and
pointing to Clarion Magazine blogs (Dave Harms of Clarion Magazine is an
alpha tester, and has more access to inside information from SoftVelocity
than most)
Here are two summary blog indexes to Clarion Magazine and SoftVelocity you
might find useful as well.
Clarion Magazine - C7 and Clarion.NET coverage
http://profileexchanges.com/blog/?p=62
SoftVelocity blogs on Clarion 7 - Clarion.Net
http://profileexchanges.com/blog/?p=60
Hope this helps - but my guess is they are simultaneously developing
Clarion 7 and Clarion.NET to increase their revenue potential significantly
even if Clarion 7 is released slightly ahead of Clarion.NET. And that adds
to the delayed release of Clarion 7.
The SoftVelocity news server is free to access
news.softvelocity.com
You can really maximize on Clarion 6 development now by using
news.softvelocity.com, Clarion Magazine articles, and taking advantage of
the wealth of 3rd party products available (most of them are already listed
in my Clarion Third Party Profile Exchange)
