Filter on substring found in Variable

I would like to filter my drop list based on the fact that I have a variable
string called FLOORING.
And I want the item to be inclided if the string in FLOORING starts with
'TILE'.
The FLOORING options in the database are like, Tile - CS392 - Shaw Interpid
100, or Wood - Natural, etc.
So when I want them to only pick Tile selections I want to filter my DROP
list for the word TILE.
Any suggestion on the correct ABC syntax for this 6.3EE.
