Browse format problem

I have a Browse List with two tabs that display patient data. One tab
sorts by ID Number, the other by Last Name. Twice in a w

now, after a
power outage, the tab sorting by Id Number has been altered. It displays
all of the 6 columns of the normal browse, compressed together to the far
left, with none of the vertical lines that normally separate the columns.
The tab that sorts by Last Name is fine. I would send a screen shot but
can't as there is some readable patient data here. Anyone experience
anything similar? This is a C6.3 (9053) Multi DLL ABC app.
