clarion 4 slow read/write

hi all,
I've been using some clarion 4 apps for a couple of yeras.
In the beginning, when the xp came out, it was a problem with very very
slow read/write operations (dbase, topspeed drivers). This problem
occured only in xp (not in 98) and it is solved by using intel
application accelerator-IAA (i've read about it at this group long time
ago). On non-intel machines I solved problem by installing some ide
drivers for specific chipset. As far as IAA is not supported any more
by intel, in case of some new machines (915 express chipset fammily,
for example) I cannot install IAA and installing intel ide driver by
itself couldn't help me. What can I do? Any idea? Anyone having the
same problem?
