Hello,

I'm not sure if this is being asked in the correct location - I don't
totally understand how these software packages are in relation with each
other.

I have a client who has been using TEC5WIN for some years - consequently
this is where all their data is. I'd like to be able to convert this data
(stored in TPS format) into something like an Excel spreadsheet or CSV file.

I believe I'm on the right track by finding that the Topspeed ODBC Interface
from Clarion will enable me to do this somehow, however I only need to
convert about 6 files and will never use the program/interface again. Due to
this, a USD$249 price tag is well beyond what I'm needing.

I managed to locate a small program called 'scan-it' which enabled me to
export one of the data files. For some reason, I can't do any more than this
one file. The version of scan-it I found was an evaluation copy - the full
version of which costs USD$80 - slightly more reasonable, but I'm not
confident it can manage more than the one file I've already converted.

If anyone can offer any advice/suggestions on how I can do this, it would be
greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Gavin

P.S. A utility called 'TopScan' has been installed with TEC5WIN - this
program has the ability to open all the data files, however it has no
ability to export. I don't know if this helps.

Thanks

Hi,

I`m using the 6200 version of topscan, but I think if you go File=>Export
you can make a CVS file directly :)

From your message i gather that your client is using a software program
(TEC5WIN) build with clarion. And you / they want to export the data from
the program's TPS files into a 'readable' format.

If this is the case then contact the author of TEC5WIN and ask him/her
about export possibility's.
