When i try to get to this news group it doesnt show up in the list of
recognied groups.

I am using outlook express 6

Drew, this is a private news server - news.softvelocity.com , NOT USENET
(most users use a news server provided by their ISP, and this provides
thousands of newsgroups to join, and that is probably the list you are
viewing now),

so you will need to setup outlook express for an additional news server. I
don't use outlook express so I can't give you specific instructions, but I'm
sure others can help.

Here's a microsoft tutorial for adding the softvelocity news server (or any
news server)

It is free to access news.softvelocity.com, and a list of clarion related
newsgroups will appear when you have added the softvelocity news server to
outlook express.

Thats what i was doing wrong. Just set up another news account and all is
fine , thanks again
