List Format Manager

Is anyone using the List Format Manager? I am having problems with it
dropping columns that are supposed to be displayed. When a user
initially creates a new format, there are no problems. However, if they
modify a format and click the save button, all but the first two fields
are set to no and are dropped. I also have fields in the browse that
the user should not be able to hide. Is this possible?
