Author web app guard

I am trying to create a web enabled app with a simple login procedure.
I am having a problem with overriding the default login window which
is just the normal browser pop-up window. When I try to override it
and specify the procedure to use instead, it gives me "cannot call
procedure as function" when I try to compile. I don't see why I need
to return any value from this window as it is just going to call the
main screen of the app up when a user successfully logs in. How can I
send it a value that doesn't mean anything just so it will compile and
run?

Thanks
