I incorporated the example label program into my program .... it works
great for sheet fed labels; however when I print on my Okidata 320 pin
fed printer, the labels slew up as though a form feed was issued....
HOW DO I PREVENT THIS ??????

Thanks for any help !!

I also have an Okidata with single pin feed labels that I use for
special requests on a single person and after I print the label and
close the printer, it will eject to top of page and waste labels. How
can I prevent this ????

Hi,

One solution is to use the text based report designer from Oleg
Forman. I believe it is free those days. This template does a mail
merge into a text document and outputs a text file. Then just send the
text file to the printer without a form feed.

If you do a lot of dot matrix printing this is the way to go. My
customers print millions of pages of consignment dockets. This
approach is very solid for large volumes and improves speed as the
data sent to the printer is just text. The file size is very small.

An alternative option is to try changing the paper settings in your
print driver. Set the paper to continuous feed inside the print
driver. This might stop the form feed at the end of each print job.

All the best and good luck.
