What Linux? What APL? As far as I know, ALL of the major APL vendors
all offer a Linux version.

Red Hat and Suse are both "RPM" based, meaning a software installation
package is an RPM package. Dyalog comes as an RPM package. I just ran
it and it installs.

Ubuntu is Debian based and thus uses different (i.e. non-RPM)
distribution. I tried installing my Dyalog there and I could not get
it to work. I also did not try very hard.

I haven't tried copying over the entire directories from Suse to Ubuntu
just to see if they would work.

I also haven't tried running Dyalog under Wine, though it seems that
Wine is getting pretty fancy and can run some ActiveX applications.
