Well
I am no Apple expert but when I have seen Apple demonstrated by
salespeople they state that it is Linux and as far as I am concerned it
looks like Unix and that is fine by me
I am not going to buy apple anyway
They are always too costly
I do admire their looks and when demonstrated it looks nice
I did try apple in the past and it was always something missing and
bombing out
I do not like closed systems

If OS/2 is not going to get any Unix then they do not have a hope in
the race between Windows and Linux
All the others like VMS go the same same
VM is taking over the world and will be above and inside Linux and
Windows as well as anything else
Was reading just now interesting from Windows
"Bill Gates, chairman, conceded that Microsoft was "playing catch-up
on search" after starting late, but added that within three years it
would have made technical advances that far outshine the current state
of the technology.
"
Always something happeining in the future
Never now
Still people buy and use Windows
That is why i do need to use Windows as well because there my customers
are how much I try to convince them to go into Linux
Some do and are very happy but the majority is still in Windows for
better or mostly worse
My favorite combination is
VMWare with Windows, Linux and J
