APLFONT not taking effect
|

| I moved my APL to my new desktop which runs Windows XP Home Edition.
This machine does not have a floppy, so I simply moved APL from my old
machine by means of a USB memory stick.
Well, APLFONT doesn't turn on APL character set.
All advice appreciated.

| John,
Which APL are you using? Is it an APL that runs in a DOS box?
(I won't be much help, but people who might be probably need that
information.) Curtis

Hi, Curtis.
Yes, exactly. It's APL2/PC for the DOS box.

| Do you have the actual APL2 DOS from IBM or just the runtime?
I would love to buy the actual product if it could be had for
a reasonable price but it is nowhere to be had.
Thanks
Jim

| Try running APL in DOS full screen mode and use the
MODE CONS ROWS=25 COLS=80 command in batch file before
invoking APLFONT or APL. There's another thread on this topic
elsewhere in this newsgroup too.

Never mind folks. I got it working. I'm not sure what was wrong,
something to do with the PIF file not allowing choice of fonts.
