VECTOR Vol 21 # 1 just arrived and includes my article about
putting word lists into an intersecting vertical and horizontal text
array, "ACROSS and DOWN." Apparently the editors of VECTOR did not receive
my message indicating a need for a revision of the article and published
it unrevised. The main revision involves the sorting methods printed on
pages 108 and 109 of VECTOR. The revised text of the article can be
found at http://www.gsu.edu/~dscbms/ad/ad.rtf .

In addition, a web based version of the application coded in perl
can be exercised at http://www.gsu.edu/~dscbms/ad/ad.html . This version
is interactive and has an added feature which encourages the user to
assign colors to the words. David Ness was especially helpful with his
perl expertise. (A graphic image on the html page is a photograph of a
counted cross stitch square designed with this application. I contributed
the sewn square for a contra dance community festival quilt.)
