I believe APL+Win's grid object is newer than Dyalog's, but it too has
been around for a few years already.
In addition, both APL's provide access to the Excel COM object (called,
IIRC, Excel.Application), which comes with the more recent versions of
Excel, via their Windows interface facility ([]WI in APL+Win), so it it
not difficult to use Excel itself as a grid object, if you can get
through Microsoft's documentation.
