Hi All,

I need some help with the below. I wish to extract a portion of text between START and STOP pair. From the internet, this is what i have found but my question is what is the syntax to make the "START" and "STOP" a variable such that i can vary the string that i search. I am using a C-shell by the way. Hope the experts here can give me some advice.
awk '/START/,/STOP/' filename
