Is there a way to print in "Landscape" format in Unix? I don't know if you
need this info but here it is anyway:
/home/narsman% uname -a
OSF1 V4.0 1530 alpha

Thanks,
Narsman

No, it can't be done. You need an ASR-33 Teletype directly wired
via serial cable to one of the RS-232 serial ports of your PDP-11.
You may then use the "cat" command to print the file on the terminal.
Make sure you have a fresh roll of paper and a fresh ribbon in it.

For the OP - Arnold is subtly suggesting you mave have posted to the
wrong NG to get the best answer to this question. Much as we'd all love
to know what made you think comp.lang.awk was the right place for this
question, you'd probably be better off posting to comp.unix.questions.

Hi All,
I found out an easier way by specifying
-Olandscape option.

lpr -Olandscape file.txt.

Thanks for the all the input.

I suppose you can do it that way, but I like Arnold's method better.

Said kindred spirit thought he'd have time to do the kinds of things
you outline, but finally realized he wouldn't. He even posted a "call
for webmaster" and got a number of replies, which have languished in
his inbox for well over a year, rather ly (and rudely, to those who
replied) undealt with.

If "someone" or even some two people will volunteer to spearhead this
effort, the kindred spirit will make arrangements for an account on
the machine hosting awklang.org for the new webmaster(s) and to give them
responsibility for managing that domain's content.

The kindred spirit will be offline until around Tuesday, but will deal
with emails then.

Thanks,
