The above is definitely a typo, but the question remains the same, and -
as suggested by the response - I am posting here, in the hope of some
suggestions ... so, the error message above is obtained if running:

$ tcpdump -vvvnr <file> |awk '{print $2, $5, $6, $15, $17}'
>output_file.txt


$ awk -W version
GNU Awk 3.1.2
Copyright (C) 1989, 1991-2003 Free Software Foundation.
