Author Code Signing for Multiple Web Servers

I'm not sure if I understand exactly how the code signing certificates
work. We have a web-based product that is deployed as a J2EE EAR file
to various web servers. Within our code, we have the need to Code Sign
some jar files within our applets.

Is it possible to purchase a single Code Signing certificate from Thawte
and sign the jar files before we deploy the EAR file to the customer
servers? Or do we have to purchase a Code Signing certificate for each
of the customer servers and sign the jar files within the EAR file at
the customer's site?
