I have a combination of ASP and JSP based applications on my web site
and i would like to control access to these applications through LDAP
server. What is the best way to do it.

1) Every request to any ASP or JSP resource should be intercepted by a
servlet which checks for a session variable that keeps secuirty
credentials. In case this security object is not found, user is sent
to login page.

2) Let ASP and Java based application handle their security through
LDAP server.

any suggestions are welcome. Thanks,
