Where can I buy CDs/DVDs of tools/frameworks

| Hi,
Does anyone know of a seller of open-source software tools,
such as spring, hybernate, jboss, the latest java se & ee,
netbeans, eclipse, etc. I do not currently
have broadband internet, and while I'm used to buying
inexpensive CDs and DVDs of the latest linux distros at
places like CheapBytes and CheapISO, I've never found
anyone selling burned disks of software tools such as
the above mentioned. Anyone know of any?
Note: I'm cross-posting this message on comp.lang.java.software tools,
too.

The other day I needed NetBeans 5.0 (just to get some
screenshots - of all things!) and could not 'afford' the 60Meg
(my monthly usage is 100Mg). So I dropped in at a local
PC fix-it shop, with a floppy containing the URL and a
blank CD - the owner downloaded it for me for $5 (Aust.*).
* For those unfamiliar with the Oz dollar, that equates to
around 14 Dirhams.

Actually, if you had accepted Google's offer to ..
(Separate multiple groups with commas)
...you might be cross-posting to c.l.j.help
and softwaretools, as it was, you were actually
*multi*-posting, which is not generally well received.
(I *have* cross-posted this reply to both groups, and set the
*followups* to c.l.j.help only.)

Some things you mentioned, e.g. Java SE and EE are not freely
redistributable. So you would have to try to get it from the original
source. Sun used to have a developer program where they also offered a
CD subscription for their tools. It was reasonably priced, but not
cheap, and I can' find the CD subscription offer any more on Sun's web site.
Have you tried an Internet cafe which allows to burn your own CDs or
DVDs from stuff you can download there? Or have you tried a Java user
group near you?

No, you don't. You may have multiposted - which is even worse.

| Thanks, Andrew. I didn't notice that parenthetical comment from
Google--in the future that's what I'll do. As for your suggested
solution to my problem, I will ask around and see if I can find a shop
willing to set up a side business deal with me. What a shame the major
players like cheapbytes don't handle this sort of thing.

| Thanks, Thomas. The idea of a java user group might work. NYC
has a huge group, maybe someone there can help.
