Urgent help needed - JColorChooser customization

Dear experts,

I have a particular problem, which requires 12 bit colors. So the
colorchooser available with the JColorChooser is designed to use 8 bit
RGB values. Can any body tell me how to write my own class which gives
me 12 bit (i,e 0-4095) range of RGB values? I should able to display
the color as well.

I am aware that we can use customized colorchooser. But my question is
no of color bits used to create the color table.

Any help would be of great help.....
