Author Java and Bluetooth searchServices(...) kill Windows XP - WHY???

Hello,

when I try to discover a bluetooth Service for my nokia 6230 with
javax.bluetooth.DiscoveryAgent.searchServices(...) (J2SE1.4) under Windows
XP SP2 this takes about 3-5 seconds. So far so good. But if I switch my
mobile phone off or are out of reach within the last 2 seconds of the
service discovery I get into trouble. There appears an error message on my
screen with the titel "Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library" and the Message
"Debug Assertion Failed! Programm: c:\...javaw.exe; File: dbgheap.c;Line:
1132; Expression: _CrIsValidHeapPointer(pUserData)

Is there a possibility to avoid this error when the bluetooth device gets
out of reach during service discovery?

Thank you
Sarah
