People who are learning Java will find a lot of help here.

Not sure about that book, but TechBookReport likes
to keep an eye on the Java books and provides lots
of Java book reviews, here.

You might also Google for Bruce Eckel's "Thinking in Java",
which, as I understand, is downloadable, and often recommended.

You sure can (not that it is my place to say any which way,
but it seems a 'good fit' for beginner Java programmers).

While you are reading and posting to this group, you might
also like to *read* a different one, comp.lang.java.programmer,
where the more expert Java programmers tend to post, and that
has a greater number of posts each day.

Have a great time. :-)

I adore TiJ, but if it had been my first introduction to Java, I don't
think I would have gotten very far. Especially if I weren't familiar
with OO.
