Java Web app question

| Hi All,
I am new to JSP Tomcat and Beans. Can anyone explain why very few web hosts
have support for Java based Web apps? Is it not a case of having Tomcat and
MySql on one server for the users who want to write Java based web
applications?
Thanks
Jim Ascroft

I don't know all that much about the server world, but I don't think I'd
trust Tomcat as a major hosting engine. You'd want something like OC4J,
which currently costs $US5000/cpu.

Well, I know why WE don't use it. It's open source. Therefore, should it
break our stuff, there's no one to sue. ;)
