lol, sometimes I think that SUN ppl was sleeping (at least from 1.0 till

Yep. I have to battle with pre-1.4 code
regularly, 1.4+ is _so_ much easier..

A lot of times I will be describing
some workaround I developed for pre-1.4
JVM's when another person will cut in
with 'oh..just use x.y.z.Magic1_4 class'
for that - simple!' ;-)
